This  boy will really open your eyes to the reality of what it was like to be a Jewish person during the War. It is all the more moving because it is a true story.

This is a fiction book written by Ann Holm.It tells the story of a young boy who, witht he help of  a prison guard, escapes from a concentration camp in Eastern Europe in Bulgaria, and journeys to Denmark. Along the way he meets interesting people and has many adventures. This book was made into a film in 2003. You will deepen your understanding of what it was like to be a 12 year old during the War and the hardships that many people had to undergo during war time...a great read.
